Four questions a listing tends to blur
Does it plug into a US outlet? A lot of what is sold here is 220–240 V gear resold by importers; those are left out, and a cabinet whose maker states no voltage says so. Does it really control humidity? 17 cabinets hold a set-point you choose, 6 hold one level their maker sets, and 2 rely on a salt block or airflow. How much meat does it hold? The maker’s own pound figure, not the litre figure, and 6 cabinets have none. Can it go under a counter? Only if the maker approves a built-in install, which it does for 18; some of those vent from the front with no gap, others need vent shafts or an open plinth.
A blank is an answer
Every figure comes from the maker’s own product pages, spec sheets and manuals, or its US distributor’s, and every product page links to them: 63 sources across the catalog. Where a maker does not publish a number for that exact model, the cell stays empty rather than borrowing a sibling’s figure, which is why 78 cabinet figures are blank today.
Who is behind it, and who is not
Two people build and maintain this in their own time. There is no office, no editorial staff and no test kitchen, and nothing here was measured by us. No maker pays for a place in the catalog, a position in a list or a word on its page. What the site collects is one analytics tag and one browser key holding your filters.
Owner experience, kept separate
Some things show up only after a few aging runs: a display that reads several degrees off, frost building on the back wall, a control board that fails. Where owner discussion of a specific model is read, it sits in its own section under its own heading, never blended into the specification copy. Coverage today is 7 of 36, and the product pages say so.
How often this changes
The catalog was last updated on 2026-10-23, and that date drives the sitemap. Each update re-checks that every model is still sold new to US buyers and drops or replaces the ones that are not.
Corrections
